THE PROGRAM

Conservationists have a new way to contribute to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Northern Bobwhite program efforts, thanks to the Quail Conservation Stamp available for voluntary purchase through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Proceeds from the stamp will be earmarked for priority habitat projects as well as quail population monitoring and research. Additionally, 2020 marks the first year the agency has partnered with the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation to produce, for purchase, a limited edition print bearing the stamp's image.

THE ARTIST

​

Clay Connor was selected as the artist for the Second Edition of the Arkansas Quail Conservation Stamp.   Clay honed his skill of capturing the outdoors through his adventures of pursuing fin and fowl throughout the United States.   Wildlife art is a passion for Clay; he has been a finalist in the Federal Duck Stamp Program contest and his work has been featured with Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl.   Clay believes in supporting, joining and contributing to outdoor conservation efforts as he has been quoted  “join a conservation organization today so that the images and paintings I capture today are not used as a reference for tomorrow.”
